Moana Sands Conservation Park is a significant Aboriginal cultural heritage site.
The park's coastal sand dunes are very important in the cultural traditions of the Kaurna people who made their summer camp in the dunes next to Pedlar Creek. Many archaeological artefacts, including burial sites, hearths and shell middens - some dating back more than 6000 years - have been found where the overlying sand has blown away.
Although a long history of sand mining, farming and recreational activities has impacted on the landscape and native vegetation of the park, you can still enjoy opportunities to observe the reptiles and birdlife that call the low coastal vegetation their home. Look out for painted dragons, skinks, honeyeaters, brown goshawks, dotterels and the rare hooded plover.
If you are interested in fishing, canoeing or photography the spectacular Onkaparinga River Recreation Park is a must. South Australia’s second largest river, the Onkaparinga, meanders through gorges before transforming into an entirely different estuary environment of wetland ponds and flood plains.
Explore the gentle estuary channels by kayak or canoe. Try your luck fishing. Ride along the cycle trails and see a variety of bird life on the river and in the ponds along the trail.
To explore the estuary environment, use the River Road entrance.
Perched atop the sand dunes where the Onkaparinga River meets the sea, the South Port Surf Life Saving Club offers one of the most spectacular coastal experiences in South Australia. Known widely as Adelaide's most beautiful beach, South Port is famous for its pristine, turquoise waters and is a premier destination for both board riders and body surfers within the Mid Coast Surfing Reserve.

Safe, family-friendly, and framed by iconic red ochre cliffs, South Port SLSC is more than just a surf club—it's the ultimate beachside destination to relax, refuel, and enjoy the best of the Fleurieu Coast.

Harvey Galleries presents The Art of Dr. Seuss Collection proudly supported by Art Evolution and d'Arenberg.
For over 60 years, Dr. Seuss's illustrations have brought a visual realization to his fantastic and imaginary worlds. Throughout his lifetime, Theodor Seuss Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss) created paintings and sculpture, which he secreted away at the Dr. Seuss Estate.
Featuring known and unknown works from the life of Theodor Seuss Geisel. A fascinating archive that reveals the secret art and imaginative creations of the world's most beloved children's author. Works from Dr. Seuss's best-known children's books, The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss, and perhaps the wackiest and most wonderful elements of the collection are Dr. Seuss's three-dimensional "Unorthodox Taxidermy" sculptures.
