Level 1 - The Cannery

Entertainment Venues

Urban Escapade

Urban Escapade is a new escape room venue located at The Cannery in Rosebery, just a few minutes south of Sydney's central business district. Founded by a team with three decades in the film and visual effects industry these rooms bring feature-film craft to every detail. Their rooms combine cinematic storytelling, immersive sets, light and sound fx, and unique, hand-built puzzles to pull players into these worlds. Two distinct games await. In Kidnapped, players take on the role of detectives, navigating the shadowy underworld of 1920s Chinatown to crack a case before time runs out. In Turbulence, a 1970s airport thriller, teams play as undercover air marshals tasked with uncovering the truth behind a growing security threat. Designed for friends, families, date nights, visitors and corporate teams, each room rewards curiosity, communication and a little nerve. No experience is needed, and game hosts guide every booking. Whether you're after a memorable night out, an unusual team-building session or a uniquely Sydney experience away from the usual tourist trail, Urban Escapade offers storytelling and spectacle you can step right into.

The Urban Beehive Port Botany

The Urban Beehive Port Botany

The Urban Beehive is driven by two beekeepers, Doug Purdie and Vicky Brown, who met through the New South Wales Beekeepers Association and decided things were getting serious with bees. The Urban Beehive aims to put beehives all over Sydney – to boost natural pollination and help maintain the honeybees' genetic diversity before it’s too late. They do this by capturing feral bee swarms to populate their beehives (where possible), rather than purchasing packaged bees or queen bees from breeders. In this way, they help protect the wild bee genetic lines that need strengthening in case the worst happens and Varroa or some other pest infiltrates the borders. They’re also offering the community a service by re-housing honeybees that otherwise might be destroyed.
