David Fleay Wildlife Park

David Fleay Wildlife Park nestled in the heart of Burleigh Heads on Queensland's Gold Coast is a wildlife park with a difference! Stroll through the tranquil surroundings to experience some of Queensland's natural habitats—rainforest to bushland—and meet some of the State's unique and threatened species—Fleay's is the only wildlife park visitors can see the shy bridled nailtail wallaby, thought to be extinct for over 30 years! A key highlight is meeting and chatting with the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service Rangers who care for the park's unique and beautiful wildlife. Another is the Fleays in Flight show, where the large birds of prey wow visitors with their spectacular wing spans and speed. The park plays an important role in demonstrating the conservation initiatives of David Fleay, who established the property in 1951. Fleay became the first to breed platypus in captivity and was ahead of his time in insisting that birds and other animals should be kept in conditions similar to their natural environment. The naturalistic enclosures you see today reflect that now widely held philosophy. The park is suitable for wheelchairs, prams and people with difficulty walking. You can also explore the nearby Tallebudgera Creek mangrove boardwalk and learn about the area's Indigenous culture and the role of mangrove communities.

Paint Juicy Paint and Sip and Entertainment

Paint Juicy is paint and sip with the volume turned up, and they come to you. No studio, no stuffiness, no being told to "express yourself" by someone in a beret. Rocking up at your venue across Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory, hand you a brush and a drink, and run a night that feels less like an art workshop and more like the best party your group has been to all year. The secret sauce is the singalong. Every session is built around a nostalgia-soaked soundtrack, think 80s and 90s anthems, ABBA and Aussie rock, with a host artist keeping the energy high and, more often than not, a live performer in the room. You will paint something you are genuinely chuffed with. You will also belt out every word to songs you forgot you knew. It works for hens nights, birthdays, team building or simply a Tuesday that needed rescuing, and it works whether you have painted before or have not touched a brush since school. Beginners welcome, talent optional. They have welcomed more than 42,000 guests, hold a 4.8-star rating on Google and have been named a Best of Queensland Experience winner every year since 2022.
