Spoonarama is the Largest Display of Souvenir Teaspoons in Queensland

Galleries, Museums and Collections

Spoonarama

Still Spoonarama but on a smaller scale. Around the walls of Round Table Coffee, you will still find over 6,500 teaspoons, always accessible to all to see. Throughout Spoonarama there are over 24,000 teaspoons grouped by country, states, animals, schools, royalty, trophies, collector club issued, Olympic/Commonwealth games, theme parks, holiday islands, specific maker/manufacturers and many more. This is the biggest souvenir teaspoon collection on display in Queensland. When Round Table Coffee opened in late 2014, there was a small rack of teaspoons on the wall. These were what Allie and Jeremy Jucha had collected themselves over a few years. They became a topic of conversation, and visitors to the shop began to offer their own small collections to add to the walls. In October 2019, the three-day teaspoon exhibition was set up. 5,500 teaspoons were sorted into various categories, and specific racks were made by Jeremy, which gave space for Australian state teaspoons. Those three days saw more than 140 people browse through, and the response was very positive and encouraging.   In late 2020 another shop became available permanently, and Spoonarama was borne of Round Table Coffee. The current display is slightly smaller than previous but there is still a mighty selection to see.

EKPE

Activate Games Sport Arena is Queensland's first high-tech challenge sports venue located in Chermside and has become one of the most talked-about kids activities Brisbane families return to repeatedly. The venue differs from typical indoor play centres by offering six high-tech challenge rooms packed with 500+ interactive games that respond to movements. Activities include dodging lasers, hitting light-up targets, racing the clock, and competing with friends. The venue works for all ages, as a 7-year-old and a 65-year-old grandparent can play the same game and both enjoy the experience because every room scales in difficulty. This separates the venue from most indoor activities in Brisbane that cater to one age group and leave others bored. The venue is ideal for birthday parties, offering a high-energy experience different from typical party formats. Instead of traditional party activities, the venue provides interactive laser-dodging and gaming experiences that keep children engaged throughout the event.
