Discover north Brisbane's railway heritage as you cycle the Ferny Grove to Samford Rail Trail, following a former rail corridor that once extended through to Dayboro. Starting from Ferny Grove Railway Station, this scenic ride stretches just over 9 kilometres to Samford Village. Along the way, you'll pass through the peaceful bushland of Samford Conservation Park before emerging into rolling farmland at the base of Camp Mountain. Following the path of the old Dayboro branch line, the trail offers a unique glimpse into the region's past. Stop near the site of the former Camp Mountain station and learn about the 1946 railway derailment, one of Queensland's worst rail disasters, which ultimately led to the closure of the line in 1955. With gentle gradients along much of the former rail corridor, the trail provides an easy and enjoyable ride for most of the journey, before transitioning to quiet rural roads with a few hills as you approach Samford. Spoonarama is the Largest Display of Souvenir Teaspoons in Queensland

Galleries, Museums and Collections

Spoonarama

Still Spoonarama but on a smaller scale. Around the walls of Round Table Coffee, you will still find over 6,500 teaspoons, always accessible to all to see. Throughout Spoonarama there are over 24,000 teaspoons grouped by country, states, animals, schools, royalty, trophies, collector club issued, Olympic/Commonwealth games, theme parks, holiday islands, specific maker/manufacturers and many more. This is the biggest souvenir teaspoon collection on display in Queensland. When Round Table Coffee opened in late 2014, there was a small rack of teaspoons on the wall. These were what Allie and Jeremy Jucha had collected themselves over a few years. They became a topic of conversation, and visitors to the shop began to offer their own small collections to add to the walls. In October 2019, the three-day teaspoon exhibition was set up. 5,500 teaspoons were sorted into various categories, and specific racks were made by Jeremy, which gave space for Australian state teaspoons. Those three days saw more than 140 people browse through, and the response was very positive and encouraging.   In late 2020 another shop became available permanently, and Spoonarama was borne of Round Table Coffee. The current display is slightly smaller than previous but there is still a mighty selection to see.
