Redcliffe Jetty

Stretching into the sparkling waters of Moreton Bay, Redcliffe Jetty is one of the Redcliffe Peninsula's most iconic landmarks. Since its original construction in 1885, it has been a favourite for locals and visitors, offering stunning waterfront views and unforgettable coastal experiences. Start your day with a spectacular sunrise, take a stroll over the water, or simply relax and soak up the sea breeze. From June to October, keep watch for migrating humpback whales as they pass through the bay, while anglers can enjoy casting a line in this popular fishing spot. The jetty is also steeped in history. After the original structure fell into disrepair, a second jetty was built in 1922 and later became home to the famous Penny Arcade, an attraction frequented by the young Bee Gees brothers during their time in Redcliffe. The current Redcliffe Jetty opened in 1999. Heritage features from earlier jetties, including historic lighting, seating and drinking fountains, can still be found along the foreshore. Whether you're chasing the perfect photo, enjoying a peaceful waterfront walk or uncovering stories from Redcliffe's past, Redcliffe Jetty is a must-visit destination and a true Moreton Bay classic. Looking for local tips, inspiration or help planning your stay? Drop into the Visitor Information Centre at the entrance to the jetty, where friendly volunteers can share local knowledge, visitor guides and accommodation advice.
