What to expect
The Tuross Head Foreshore Ride is an easy, enjoyable family bike ride on the Eurobodalla South Coast, following an off-road shared pathway along the Coila Lake, ocean and Tuross River foreshores. Expect magnificent ocean views, dramatic headlands, rocky outcrops, Norfolk Island Pines and plenty of birdlife for keen photographers. Interpretive signs along the route add to the experience. Take a brief stroll into the Memorial Gardens at Plantation Point, and soak up the coastal views from One Tree Point, a lookout just a short walk off the cycleway. Start at Kyla Oval on Hector McWilliam Drive and continue to the beach car park at Tuross Boulevard south. Follow the path until it meets Olive Crescent, then veer left into Nelson Parade and carry on to the car park by the restaurants and boatsheds on Tuross Lake. The ride is 12 kilometres return, so there is time for a lakeside meal before the pedal back.
