What to expect
The Sack Shack is an environmentally conscious shop focused on handmade items made from recycled products, helping to reduce waste. Stocking a unique array of messenger, crossbody, tote, shoulder, shopper and toiletry bags, coin purses, water bottle holders, luggage tags, guitar & ukulele cases. Many handmade from recycling animal feed sacks, material remnants, blankets, tea-towels, rice/fish feed/cement sacks, felt, handwoven fabri and Teak leaf leather. Plus gift and travel accessories and Bristlebrush birds/animals crafted from Buri Palm Fronds. You'll also find lovely original artwork, recycled wire garden art (pears, spheres, snails) (Victoria) and handmade jewellery from recycled copper and porcelain (Qld). Some items are made locally in Mount Gambier by the shop owner or artisans in Australia, plus imported Fairtrade from talented artisans in Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal, and India.
