What to expect
The Mount Madden Scenic Drive is a 160-kilometre circular tour and you should allow five to six hours depending on stops. Embrace the beautiful scenery, wildflowers, and birds. Good picnicking spots are situated along the drive. If you wish to make a quick trip straight to Mt Madden and return, then this may be done in about two hours. Mount Madden provides a good 360-degree lookout. There is also a historic plaque of John Septimus Roe, explorer/surveyor who died in 1848. Brochures are available at the Ravensthorpe Tourist Bureau.
