About this place
What to expect
Lady Musgrave Island on the Southern Great Barrier Reef can be accessed from both Bundaberg and the Town of 1770. This 18-hectare coral cay sits within a crystal-clear lagoon spanning more than 1,200 hectares and is home to 14 world-class dive sites, including Manta Ray Bommie, Entrance Bommie, Napoleon's Wall and The Drop-Off. Whether you're snorkelling the shallows or diving the coral gardens and dramatic reef edges, there's plenty to discover beneath the surface. The island's protected waters are teeming with marine life, offering the chance to come face-to-face with manta rays, turtles, reef sharks, stingrays, sea snakes and schools of colourful reef fish. One minute you're following a turtle through the lagoon, the next you're spotting a manta ray gliding past. It's the kind of place that keeps you looking over your shoulder for what might swim by next.
