This family-friendly walk in Kakadu's South Alligator region offers a journey through three monsoon forest, open woodlands, and the tranquil Ankurdabbal Billabong. The boardwalk at the billabong is a perfect spot for photography and quiet reflection. Along the way, you'll encounter Kakadu's incredible diversity of birds and plants. Keep an eye out for rainbow pittas, orange-footed scrub fowls, fantails, finches, jabirus, eagles, and jacanas—all commonly seen on this walk. Visitors can choose between a 3.6 km circuit for a full experience or a shorter 1.4 km return walk to the boardwalk and back.
