What to expect
Perched high above Daylesford, Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens feels like a gentle exhale from the world below. A highlight of any visit is a stop at the Friends of Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens Nursery, tucked into the gardens like a well-kept secret. Run by passionate volunteers, the nursery offers a thoughtful selection of plants suited to the local climate, many propagated directly from the gardens themselves. Browsing here feels personal and unhurried, with friendly advice, gardening stories, and the quiet satisfaction of taking home a living piece of Wombat Hill.
