About this place

What to expect

Entrance Bommie sits at the entrance to Lady Musgrave Island Lagoon and is one of the area's most exciting dive sites. Located in 22 metres of water, it is riddled with ledges, overhangs and caves that are often packed with baitfish. Where there's baitfish, the big fish aren't far behind. Trevally, coral trout and mackerel regularly patrol the site, while turtles, tasselled wobbegong sharks, whitetip reef sharks, giant moray eels, stingrays, eagle rays and a colourful variety of reef fish are common sightings. Keep an eye on the caves too. It's not unusual to spot a tawny nurse shark having a snooze, with these impressive sharks growing to more than three metres in length. With plenty of marine life around every corner, Entrance Bommie is a dive site that rarely disappoints.
