About this place

What to expect

Curl Curl Lagoon has a rich and varied history, going through some incredible transformations. Originally a lush wetland, it was used for landfill in the 1950s. Extensive rehabilitation was required to make it the valuable recreational asset it is today. Enjoy a leisurely stroll beneath the trees around the lagoon. Sections from the main carpark are wheelchair accessible but not the full loop. This is an easy walk or ride and great fun for the whole family. Dogs are allowed off the leash at Adam St Reserve and Flora and Richie Roberts Reserve. However, they must be on the lead in all other areas. Dogs pose a major risk to local bird life, particularly during the breeding season.
