Just like sailing, but on land..

Land Sailing in a Blokart was so much fun!

We stumbled across the local Blokart Club on Bucasia Beach
in Mackay.

They had a “Free Try-Out-Day”. The team were so friendly,
they got us set up and going straight away right after the safety brief.

The wind was blowing around 10knots which was perfect to
learn in, even my son who is eleven had a go.

Anyone from about the age of 10 years is ale to sail a
Blokart. Sailors must wear closed in shoes and some form of a helmet. The club
even had some free helmet hire available.

It only took a couple of runs up and down the beach before
my son was hooning the beach!

Most Blokarts were single seaters, whoever they did have the
tandom models. Unfortunately for us the wind wasn’t strong enough to push the
two of us..
