What to expect
Make a weekend of it at the Yeppoon Running Festival, one of Central Queensland's biggest running events.
Held on the beautiful Capricorn Coast, the festival welcomes thousands of runners, families and supporters to Yeppoon for a weekend that's as much about enjoying the destination as it is about the run.
There's something for everyone, from the marathon, half marathon, 10km, 5km and 2km events to the Family Fun Run. Courses take in some of Yeppoon's best coastal scenery, with ocean views, a lively race-day atmosphere and plenty of support along the way.
Once the running is done, there's every reason to stay a little longer. Cool off at the Yeppoon Lagoon, grab breakfast overlooking the water, explore the Capricorn Coast or head across to Great Keppel Island for the day.
Whether you're taking on a new distance, running with friends, bringing the family along or planning a weekend away around the event, Yeppoon Running Festival is a great reason to pack your runners and head for the coast.
