Terry's Pocket

Terry's Pocket is an Adelaide-based instrumental ensemble rooted in contemporary jazz-funk and groove-based improvisation. The band combines modern jazz harmony with deep funk rhythms, drawing influence from soul jazz, fusion, and groove traditions while maintaining a strong emphasis on ensemble interplay and live improvisation.

Featuring trumpet, saxophone, keyboards, bass, and drums, Terry's Pocket delivers tightly arranged material alongside open sections for spontaneous development, creating performances that balance structure with exploratory expression. Their live sets are rhythmically driven, texturally rich, and designed to engage both specialist listeners and broader festival audiences.
