About this event
What to expect
A year of close looking, shared stories and connection.
Throughout 2026, the Barossa Regional Gallery invites the community to approach the Barossa Vintage Festival Art Collection through curiosity, one artwork at a time. Each artwork becomes a starting point for inquiry, placed at the centre of a changing micro-exhibition and explored alongside objects and stories from local heritage collections and contemporary artworks.
Artists begin with questions, not answers. Through Inquiry, they adopt the same mindset. Slow down, look closely, test ideas, and follow connections as they emerge. Each encounter opens a new conversation, revealing how meaning can be created through deep attention, curiosity and connection.
Current featured work from Barossa Vintage Festival Art Collection:
Crabapple Blossom, by June Colligan. Acquired to the Barosa Vintage Festival Art Collection in 1987, sponsored by Australian Glass Manufacturers Company.
Current featured contemporary artist: Beryl Hunter
Exhibition dates: 3rd September 2026 to 12th October 2026.
