About this event
What to expect
Escape the expected and enter AU.X Screenworks: four days of experimental screen-based media from some of Australia's most compelling and unconventional creative voices. You'll find work fresh off the festival circuit from Hyun Lee's French Girls to Adam C. Briggs' Philip Philadelphia. See freaky, fantastic and not for the faint-of-heart shorts from the Sydney Underground Film Festival. Discover bold new expanded cinema works that spill beyond the screen through installation, live performance and projection with Matt Cornell's BIO:MASS and Junior Major's Decipher. Plus, groundbreaking films from Frame Shift, where artists with disability fracture and reimagine the medium.
Come for the chance to experience new voices and enter unfamiliar worlds at the Opera House.
