About this event
What to expect
Experience the magic of the region's longest-running inclusive tradition at the annual Sunshine Coast Show. Spanning three action-packed days, this beloved family event brings the community together to celebrate local talent, exceptional agricultural produce, livestock excellence, and heritage competitions like woodchopping and showjumping.
It is an immersive experience where visitors connect with rural life. Children can pat a cow, hold a chicken, watch live sheep shearing, or discover the differences between alpacas and llamas. Indoors, pavilions showcase community handcrafts, spectacularly iced cakes, and inspiring school artwork.
For thrill-seekers, Side Show Alley offers classic carnival excitement with dodgem cars, high-flying rides, and panoramic views from the wheelchair-accessible Ferris Wheel. No show experience is complete without grabbing a showbag and feasting on delicious dagwood dogs, fairy floss, and hot donuts.
When it is time to unwind, head over to the Show Saloon for live music and food, or relax on the family-friendly community green with dinner from the diverse food court. Each day culminates in a spectacular evening entertainment program, featuring breathtaking arena acts, thunderous fireworks, and a vibrant laser light show.
Getting there is stress-free: park at Nambour train station and take the free courtesy shuttle bus straight to the main gate. Best of all, Sunshine Coast residents enjoy a dedicated public holiday on Friday, making it the perfect opportunity to kick off an unforgettable weekend.
