What to expect
The Penshurst Racing Cup returns to historic Penshurst Racecourse this Spring, bringing locals and visitors together for a full day of country thoroughbred racing. Framed by the district's volcanic rises, the course offers wide lawns, clear sightlines and a relaxed pace - easy to settle in with friends, family and colleagues.
Follow the action railside or from shaded picnic spots, with on-course bookmakers and tote facilities adding to the buzz. Hospitality marquees are available for group bookings, giving businesses, community clubs and social groups a comfortable base with seating, service areas and room to host clients or celebrate milestones.
Quality local catering anchors the day, served with welcoming country service. Family-friendly activities run alongside the racing and there's plenty of space to spread out, chat and enjoy the occasion between events.
Whether you're there for the form guide or the social catch-up, the Penshurst Cup delivers an easygoing, well-run race day built on decades of community involvement. Gather your group, book a marquee or bring a picnic rug - the Penshurst Racing Cup is a chance to share in an established Southern Grampians racing tradition.
