About this event
What to expect
Join families and friends from near and far for the unveiling of the HIRL Commemorative Wall - a lasting tribute to the people and stories that shaped the region across generations. This gathering welcomes locals and those with ties to the south-west wherever they live, honouring deep custodianship, migration, working lives, service and family memory.
The wall carries names and stories from townships, missions, farms and meeting places across the district. It offers a quiet place to recognise ancestors and loved ones, to reconnect with kin and community and to add threads that keep the record living.
All are welcome - local residents, returning families, interstate visitors and community members who value the region's layered history. The Commemorative Wall is a place to return to with children and grandchildren, to rest a hand on a family name and to reflect on what has been carried forward and what we hand on next.
