What to expect
The Riverland Rose and Garden Festival in the Riverland, South Australia, offers ten days of inspiring gardens, events, attractions and community experiences celebrating the region's remarkable beauty. Held from 9th to 18th of October 2026, the festival invites garden enthusiasts, families, visitors and anyone who appreciates creativity and the outdoors to discover what is blooming across the Riverland.
What makes the festival special is its welcoming community spirit and diverse collection of open gardens, local stories, events and attractions. It provides a rare opportunity to explore private gardens, meet passionate gardeners, discover local talent and experience the Riverland at its colourful springtime best. Each year, the festival brings the community together while showcasing the region to visitors from across South Australia and beyond.
Set amongst the Riverland's picturesque towns, waterways, gardens, wineries and food experiences, the festival provides an ideal reason to explore the wider region. Visitors can combine garden visits with local attractions, dining, river experiences and country hospitality including this year a collaboration with the local business Brett Hamerstein Contretors and the Steamboat PS Industry. Community participation is at the heart of the festival, with new committee members and friends contributing to its continuing growth. The festival offers something to discover at every turn, making it well worth planning a visit and exploring the full program.
