About this event
What to expect
Jet Black Cat Music and Old Stone Hall present Australian songwriter and producer #1 Dads live in Beechworth, celebrating the release of his deeply personal fourth album.
The solo project of Tom Iansek, Every Little Fire (Album release October 16) finds #1 Dads embracing the beauty in imperfection. Written during a period of profound personal change, the album reflects on relocation, family, and rebuilding a life from the ground up. Self-produced in small rooms and a bedroom studio, its intimate arrangements, gentle melodies and unvarnished performances create a collection of songs that feel both deeply human and quietly profound. Few artists make music as quietly affecting as Tom Iansek.
A treasured fixture of the Australian independent music community, Iansek is best known for multi-award-winning projects Big Scary and No Mono, and as producer for Maple Glider, Kate Miller-Heidke, The Paper Kites, Ruby Gill and Lisa Mitchell.
Now #1 Dads enters a new chapter, delivering his most personal work to date. This special performance at Old Stone Hall offers a rare opportunity to experience these new songs as they were made—up close, unhurried and in a room built for listening.
Come early and enjoy a pre-show local beverage. They are an inclusive, accessible and licensed venue. Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
